Kiddie Club Playgroup is a bilingual (english/french), educational program designed specifically for infants and toddlers from the ages of 8 months to 3 years. It is based on the principle that the stimulation children receive in the early years determines, to a large extent, their future capabilities.
A Kiddie Club session lasts 1 1/2 hours and there are a maximum of 11 children accompanied by their Mom, Dad, Granny, Au-Pair etc. The adult assists the child in the series of activities that we all do as a group. Each session is unique and adapted to the level and special needs of the children in it.
Each session caters for, amongst other things:
- gross and fine motor skills
- social skills
- sensorial, musical and artistic development
- early maths, reading and writing skills
- language enhancement
- pure unadulterated fun!
A typical Playgroup session...
Toys Galore : Free play with selected educational toys.
Mom & Me : An activity with Mom to develop vocabulary, fine motor co-ordination and the rudiments of reading and mathematical skills
Boogy Woogy : Action songs for body awareness, rhythm and to develop vocabulary.
All Together Now : Children come together in a circle with the animator to learn something special. They have to socialise, participate and share the objects.
Magic Carpet : Story time to develop concentration and a love of books.
Musical Instruments : Traditional and a selection of sensorial instruments. Introduction to different music - jazz, pop, classical etc.
The Enchanted Garden : Lots of different climbing equipment and a road with bikes.
Tea Time : Moms get together over coffee and cake while children are free to play in the rooms with a Thomas table, play kitchen and soft play area.
